Why You Should Consider GENNET City Fertility for Your Surrogacy Journey

Reading Time: 5 minutes

A crucial part of any surrogacy journey, for both surrogate and intended parent or parents, is choosing the right clinic. This means looking for a service which offers comfort and support at what may be a worrying or stressful time. As well as the most up-to-date treatments performed by experienced specialists.

At GENNET City Fertility, we know that we can offer you all of this and more. With help from and thanks to TwoDads UK, we are also able to be here to explain exactly why.

We Believe in a Family Feel

No one likes being viewed as a statistic, or as “just another number”. That is the last thing we would ever want to do to our patients. When you, your partner (where applicable), and your surrogate choose to visit our clinic you will be treated as members of the GENNET City Fertility family. Your happiness and comfort will be made our priority. You will never be pressured into trying treatments or undergoing cycles that you are not comfortable with or do not wish to have carried out.

Our staff are part of our family too. You may rest assured that they are just as happy and as comfortable as we want you to be. They will never rush you when you would prefer to take your time (we encourage you to take your time). There will be time to look at your circumstances to ensure you’re receiving the care that fits your needs.

You will be invited to our clinic for a free, 30-minute mini consultation and a tour of our facilities. This gives you a chance to meet our team and to get to know more about us and our processes. In turn, this will mean that if you do decide to take the next steps on the road to parenthood with us, you will arrive and be welcomed in a familiar space right from the very beginning.

We Offer Personalised Treatments

Part of ensuring our patients receive the exact care and attention they need comes with offering a boutique-style clinic service. This involves personalising a patient’s treatment plan. For you, your partner, and your surrogate, this will mean meeting with one of our specialists to discuss your options, and to discuss potential assessments and treatments based on what you have agreed with your chosen surrogate.

Our Assessment Options

Most fertility clinics require you to undergo basic fertility assessments and investigations in order to proceed with treatments, including in-vitro fertilisation (IVF). We are proud to offer these as part of a Couple’s Initial Consultation Package. This is available to both different and same-sex couples. This will allow you and your partner to look into your fertility if you intend to use your own eggs or sperm in a surrogacy arrangement.

Both partners will either attend Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) blood tests and ultrasounds or semen assessments as applicable, before meeting in consultation with a specialist. They will talk with you about your medical and fertility history, explain the results of your test to you, and may be able to recommend lifestyle changes that could have an impact on your fertility.

If you are single but also looking to assess your fertility as part of a surrogacy arrangement, we are also able to offer both Male and Female Fertility Assessments. These are carried out in exactly the same way as they would be with a partner. You wont have to worry about missing out on any part of the journey to parenthood based on whether or not you are a single parent.

Our Treatments

For cases of surrogacy, the most common treatment form carried out at our clinic will be IVF. In a typical cycle of treatment, eggs and sperm that may be taken from donors, or one or both intended parents, will be used to create embryos. These are then implanted in the womb of your chosen surrogate in the hope of them achieving and carrying a successful pregnancy.

However, this is not the only treatment option we offer. For example, in cases where a surrogate intends to use their own eggs in order to conceive, they may be asked to undergo intrauterine insemination (IUI) instead, having donor sperm or the sperm of an intended parent introduced to their womb.

We are Open and Honest with Pricing

We understand that the cost involved with any kind of treatment will be a constant and present concern for patients. This is why we aim to ensure that we are being as open and transparent as possible with our prices. You will always be able to budget prior to starting any course of treatment. We will also ensure that patients are aware of potential additional service charges, in the event that these are needed as part of a specific treatment plan, long before anything would ever be agreed upon or have to be paid.

While commercial surrogacy is illegal in the UK. Surrogates can be reimbursed by a commissioning couple or an intended parent for reasonable expenses. As such, we would always remind patients to factor in the costs related to your surrogate’s expenses. As well as the fees involved with their own treatment. To safely cover all costs involved, we would therefore recommend having £10,000 or more to spare.
